As partner and lead counsel, Andy represents commercial real estate developers primarily in the areas of multi-family, industrial, retail and mixed-used projects.
He specializes in Public Facility Corporation transactions which facilitate affordable housing projects across Texas. To date, Andy and his team have been involved in more than 30 PFC transactions with an average transaction size in excess of $80,000,000.00.
Andy’s expertise allows him to guide clients throughout the entire lifecycle of development transactions from land acquisition, title and survey review, and the formation of joint ventures, to financing, development, leasing and disposition of properties.
Prior to founding Cohen Rabinowitz, Andy was a shareholder at Hornberger Fuller Garza & Cohen where he served clients throughout Texas and across the United States. He also served as a partner at Golden Steves Cohen & Gordon LLP as well at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld where he was a partner in the real estate department of that company’s San Antonio office.
